In November 1992, approved by the State Council as a "National Level New & Hi-tech Industrial Park"，SND become one of the first batch of Asian Pacific science and technology industrial parks open to APEC members, the first national demonstration zone of ISO14000 environmental management system within the country as well as the export base of new & high tech products of national new & high tech industrial development zone. In 2017, SND was qualified to be one of the first batch of green industrial parks within China.
